Seal after reconditioning

Sealcom does not stock reconditioned seals. We only recondition seals sent in by our customers.

Our reconditioning program was instituted in order to provide our customers an alternative to purchasing new seals.    

All seals are cleaned in a totally enclosed pressure washer utilizing environmentally friendly solvents. All ports and passage ways in covers are cleaned, inspected and ensured to be free from all obstructions and foreign matter.

All metal components are then checked for tolerances. Those parts found to be borderline or out of tolerance will be discarded and replaced.

All sealing surfaces will then be lapped to within three light bands.

All elastomers will be replaced with a material best suited for and of the appropriate durometer for that application.

Neoprene • Buna N (nitrile) • Viton • Teflon

After assembly, the seal is then vacuumed packaged to reduce exposure to the elements.

Turnaround time is approximately one week for all items in our catalogue.
